IMAMS- Revolutizing Semi-Truck Safety

Our Mission

Keeping Motorist & the Public Safe with Automated High Tech Emergency Alert Messaging.

Dangerous Human Deployment

Federal rule 49 CFR 392.22 forces truck drivers to walk into active traffic to deploy emergency triangles—even at night or in dangerous weather—creating unnecessary and life-threatening exposure. These static triangles are difficult to see, easily obscured by a number of conditions, and incapable of providing critical real-time alerts like lane changes, crash warnings, or weather hazards.

Reflective warning triangles are passive, ground-level devices that must be manually deployed behind disabled CMVs. Although mandated since the 1970s, the empirical evidence supporting their crash-reduction effectiveness is limited and inconsistent.

NHTSA 1994 review:
Concluded that existing studies “are not supportive of warning triangles’ efficacy in reducing disabled-vehicle-related accident rates.”

FMCSA 2025 ongoing research:
The use of modern methodologies (e.g., eye-tracking and instrumented vehicles) reflects continued uncertainty regarding the effectiveness of triangles after decades of use.

Safe Automated Deployment

The year 2026 marks forty years since the federal mandate for Center High-Mounted Stop Lamps (CHMSLs) on passenger vehicles. Over four decades of nationwide use, CHMSLs have demonstrated sustained reductions in rear-end crashes on the order of 4–5 percent fleetwide, translating into tens of thousands of injuries prevented annually and thousands of lives saved cumulatively, along with billions of dollars in avoided property damage. Few safety interventions in U.S. transportation history are supported by a comparable body of real-world evidence.

IMAMS is explicitly grounded in this same, proven safety principle: elevated, high-visibility, early warning and braking signals materially improve detection distance, driver reaction time, and crash avoidance. IMAMS applies this validated concept to disabled and autonomous commercial vehicles, directly addressing the documented limitations of low-mounted reflective warning triangles—particularly in high-speed, low-visibility, and automated-driving environments.

  Substantially larger display area:
Approximately 180 square inches, compared to roughly 7.75 square inches for a standard taillight, yielding a more than 2300% increase in luminous area.

When it come to visibility, Bigger is always Better!

IMAMS WIDE ADOPTION THROUGH SIMPLE ADS

Commercial Ads

We all roll our eyes at them—interrupting, cluttering, even annoying at times.

But what if a simple, static, boring, non-distracting, black and white text ad could help bring a life-saving technology to the world faster? What if glancing past a quiet point-of-interest ad meant thousands of families never receiving that devastating phone call?

At scale, that’s what IMAMS can do—save thousands of lives on America’s highways.

So the real question becomes: If a small, helpful ad could prevent tragedy… isn’t that worth it?

IMAMS is more than a device—it’s a guardian. Calm and quiet during everyday driving, instantly dynamic only when danger strikes. A safety-first system built to protect without distracting.

This balance—still when it should be, powerful when it must be—makes nationwide adoption possible without compromising public trust or roadway safety.

IMAMS SAVE LIVES WITH BROADER AMBER ALERTS

 Saving More Children

Every year in the United States, an estimated 460,000 children are reported missing—a staggering number that reflects both the scale of the crisis and the urgency of every minute that follows. Thanks to the dedication of law enforcement, communities, and rapid-notification tools, the AMBER Alert system has already helped safely recover more than 1,200 children. Each one represents a life restored, a family made whole, and a tragedy averted.

But imagine if we could do even more.

By integrating IMAMS into the AMBER Alert network, every participating semi-truck on America’s highways becomes a moving beacon of awareness—delivering real-time alerts across thousands of miles, in places no billboard or smartphone notification can reach. With commercial trucks covering nearly every major route, the visibility, speed, and geographic reach of child-recovery efforts could increase dramatically.

This isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a force multiplier.
Every driver becomes an extra set of eyes. Every truck becomes a mobile alert system. Every mile traveled becomes another chance to bring a missing child home.

IMAMS has the potential to amplify the nation’s ability to protect its most vulnerable—transforming the highways into a powerful, coordinated safety network dedicated to saving more children, faster.

  Revolutionizing Semi-Truck Safety

A Motorist’s and Trucker’s Worst Nightmare: Collisions can often be avoided with the right warning—IMAMS delivers real-time, high-tech accident-avoidance messaging designed for both autonomous and conventional vehicles to dramatically increase road safety.

The IMAMS Intelligent Motorist Alert Messaging System is a (2"D x 6"H x 30"W)  multipurpose, Dynamic, high-visibility, Digital LED Messaging Sign mounted atop the rear of Semi-truck cabs and trailer doors to provide Clear and Direct Actions for Motorist to take in emergency situations  in order to stay safe.

There’s always been a better way to keep our roads safe—IMAMS is that next step. IMAMS Technologies has developed the Intelligent Motorist Alert Messaging System, a connected safety platform for commercial trucks that uses dynamic, high‑mount LED messaging to instantly communicate a vehicle’s status—whether it’s disabled, stopping, turning, or backing up. By providing clear, real‑time guidance to following motorists, IMAMS helps prevent secondary crashes, reduces roadside exposure, and supports the transition toward driver‑out autonomous operations.

Our system directly addresses federal rule 49 CFR 392.22, which still requires manual placement of warning triangles—a major blocker for driverless fleets and a persistent risk for human drivers. IMAMS eliminates that risk with an integrated, automated, and connected solution that meets the intent of current safety regulations while enabling a pathway for regulatory acceptance of electronic roadside warnings.

IMAMS is about Protecting Lives

Every day, truck drivers risk their lives setting up emergency triangles and flares on busy highways. For decades, commercial trucks have also lacked a basic yet proven safety feature: the high-mounted third brake light. Since becoming standard on passenger vehicles in 1986 and light trucks in 1994, these lights have saved countless lives by preventing rear-end collisions.

IMAMS brings that same level of proven safety innovation to the trucking industry. Our advanced system integrates modern lighting and signaling technology to greatly improve visibility, protect drivers, and reduce accident risks.

IMAMS doesn’t just meet safety standards—it raises them. It’s the future of intelligent truck safety, designed to protect lives, save time, and keep America’s highways moving.

IMAMS also incorporates advanced safety features including a rear-view recordable infrared camera, backup alert system, and rear-end collision avoidance messaging that warns drivers when following too closely. The system integrates GPS and 4G communication technology, allowing authorized agencies to disseminate Amber Alerts, severe weather notifications, and safety advisories across a significantly wider range than conventional overhead roadway signage.

IMAMS provides motorists with advance information on points of interest through simple, non-distracting advertisements for fuel, food, lodging, and emergency services. This enables drivers to plan exits and stops more safely and efficiently, while generating a consistent passive revenue stream for the system owner through advertiser partnerships. This in turn will help Accelerate the widespread adoption of a Revolutionary Safety Device.

IMAMS: A New Standard for Commercial Vehicle Safety

Adopting IMAMS means your fleet is equipped with one of the most advanced and comprehensive crash-avoidance solutions on the road today, positioning your business as a leader in both safety and innovation.

In simple terms: IMAMS is an Innovative, Life Saving Device that all Semi-trucks should have!

BROCHURES

Rear End Collision / Railroad Crossing Alerts

REAR END COLLISION TAILGATOR ALERTS

Each year in the United States, approximately 494,000 crashes involve large trucks, resulting in an estimated 5,700 fatalities and 110,000 injuries. A significant contributing factor to these incidents is tailgating. Rear-end collisions account for nearly one-third of all multi-vehicle accidents, with close to 2,000 fatalities annually attributed to unsafe following distances.

The Intelligent Motion Awareness and Monitoring System (IMAMS) is designed to mitigate this risk. Mounted high on the rear of semi-trucks and trailers, IMAMS uses an advanced motion sensor to identify when a trailing driver is too close for safe operation. Upon detecting an unsafe following distance, the system activates a visual warning at one-minute intervals, encouraging the driver to either fall back to a safe distance or pass safely.

By providing clear, consistent feedback to following drivers, IMAMS enhances roadway awareness and helps reduce the frequency and severity of rear-end collisions involving large trucks.

FUEL TRUCK MUST STOP AT RAILROAD CROSSINGS

According to federal regulation 49 CFR §392.10, fuel tankers and other commercial vehicles transporting hazardous materials are required to stop at all railroad crossings. Because many motorists are unaware of this rule, they often become impatient or confused when a tanker stops even though no train is visible.

With IMAMS installed on the rear of a hazardous materials tanker, drivers can automatically display a clear message explaining the stop. This helps prevent excessive horn honking and reduces the risk of dangerous drive‑arounds by impatient motorists.

Severe Weather & Crash Alerts

SEVER WEATHER ALERTS IN REAL-TIME

Weather-related vehicle crashes lead to around 3,800 deaths and over 268,000 injuries on average in the US each year, with some sources citing about 5,000 to nearly 5,900 fatalities and over 400,000 injuries annually from such accidents.

The primary cause of accidents in severe weather is slippery, wet road surfaces combined with reduced visibility, with hydroplaning and black ice being prominent hazards that lead to loss of vehicle control and collisions.

With its built in environmental sensor IMANS can detect when roads are wet and icy providing local authorities in Real-time current road conditions to broadcast alert through the IMAMS

VEHICLE CRASH ALERT

Roads become safer when drivers receive timely warnings—a core purpose of IMAMS, which can operate under the guidance of local authorities. By delivering real-time alerts about upcoming road conditions, IMAMS enables drivers to make early, informed decisions, such as taking alternate routes when needed.

IMAMS High-Mount Signals Show a Trucks Intent

LEFT DIRECTIONAL SIGNAL

With IMAMS, motorists can prevent unnecessary accidents by receiving clear indications of a semi-truck’s intentions—whether it’s changing lanes, making a wide turn, or signaling drivers to pass safely in the direction of its flashing guidance arrows.

RIGHT DIRECTIONAL SIGNAL

Accidents are more likely to occur when motorists are unsure of a semi-truck’s intentions, especially during wide turns. IMAMS large, high-mounted directional arrows eliminate confusion and enhance visibility, even in poor weather conditions.

HIGH-MOUNT 3rd BRAKE LIGHTS SAVE LIVES

HIGH MOUNT 3RD BRAKE LIGHT RED TEXT

The high-mount 3rd brake light (center high mounted stop lamp, CHMSL) has been shown to reduce rear-end collisions by about 10% to 22% in passenger cars.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration  NHTSA says evidence shows that Center High Mount Brake Lights  CHMBLs reduce  92,000 crashes and 58,000 injuries and avoids 2000 deaths annually, according to a study released by the government's highway safety agency.

The 3rd brake light has been mandatory for passenger cars in the U.S. since 1986 and is recognized as a proven safety device that significantly contributes to reducing rear-end collisions and their resulting injuries and fatalities each year.

How Chmbls on semi-trucks will save more lives

HIGH MOUNT 3RD BRAKE LIGHT SOLID RED

Although exact figures specific to semi-trucks are not available, current large truck safety technologies (like automatic emergency braking) have been estimated to prevent thousands of crashes and injuries annually. Given the size and impact severity of semi-truck rear collisions, even a 10-20% reduction in rear-end crashes due to mandatory high-mount 3rd brake lights could translate into thousands fewer crashes, injuries, and fatalities yearly.

In summary:

  • High-mount 3rd brake lights reduce rear-end crashes by roughly 10-20% in passenger vehicles.
  • Mandating these lights on semi-trucks and trailers could potentially prevent thousands of truck-involved rear-end crashes annually.
  • This would reduce injuries and fatalities related to these collisions substantially, saving many lives and improving road safety significantly. _AI Search
